Garlic & Ginger Brussels Sprouts

This simple six-ingredient Brussels sprouts side dish brings a little Asian flavor to the table and can be made in a cast iron skillet in 15 minutes.

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts
  • 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground white pepper


  1. Melt coconut oil in a cast iron skillet (or other pan) over medium heat.

  2. Trim the ends off the Brussels sprouts and then cut them into quarter-inch slices.

  3. Add the sliced Brussels sprouts to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender and beginning to brown. (About 8 to 10 minutes)

  4. Add in soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and white pepper, stir, and cook for another 2 minutes.
